The volatilization of ingredients through the walls of plastic containers, however, presents problems. This can be prevented by barrier fluorination because it optimizes the uppermost monomer layers of plastics by means of a substitution reaction of hydrogen by fluorine atoms. It can be used inline as well as offline.<\/p>\n<p>This form of plastic pretreatment is absolutely consistent, since it is carried out in a vacuum as well as in overpressure and thus has a geometry-independent and three-dimensional effect. The Fluor is reproducible and cost-effective.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-812\" src=\"https:\/\/www.FBI Fluor-Fluor.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/plastik_barriere-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"730\" height=\"80\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Benefits of the procedure<\/h3>\n<h3><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-943 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.FBI Fluor-Fluor.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/barriere-in-der-medizin-300x186.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"216\" height=\"145\" \/><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Conservation of resources, since the bottled substance does not disappear<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring the consistency, effect or shelf life of the product<\/li>\n<li>Avoidance of odor pollution<\/li>\n<li>Avoiding damage to health because substances don\u2019t escape<\/li>\n<li>Labels stick to the container since the barrier layer prevents permeation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>The chemical Fluor<\/h3>\n<p>Barrier fluorination forms barrier layers on plastic surfaces, preventing permeation of volatile hydrocarbons. The products in the vacuum chamber are exposed to an atmosphere of a fluorine-nitrogen mixture (F2\/N2). For best results, treatment duration, fluorine concentration profile, and Fluor temperature are selected to meet the product and treatment goals. Due to the above-mentioned Fluor conditions, the fluorine atoms are uniformly attached to all of the resulting radical sites of the plastic surfaces.
