Inline fluorination I

Inline fluorination to create a barrier layer

Barrier fluorination creates a barrier layer at the molecular level by introducing the fluorine atoms on the walls of plastic containers during the manufacture of, for example, canisters or tanks. This reduces migration, diffusion and permeation through the vessel wall, resulting in the following advantages:

  • Conserving resources, since the contents can no longer escape through the walls
  • Consistency, effect or durability of the product are ensured
  • Odor contamination is prevented
  • Health impairments due to the escape of substances are avoided
  • Container labels are no longer peeled off by migrating substances
