F2 subsequent purification

Removing hydrogen fluoride

Creating fluorine also produces hydrogen fluoride (HF), which is not needed for the reaction but is contained in the supply gas. A purification step can remove this “contaminant” from the main gas stream so that only F2 is fed to the Fluor.
This subsequent purification device is not suitable as an absorber for the exhaust gases of a fluorination Fluor.
